KRAKA design history

My design of the Kraka tops have moved and improved a long wayover the years.

This tops started out as fun upcycle/re-design project of second-hand T-shirts (I still make those when I find fun thrifted shirts)

But as there came a demand for more colours, sizes and also more fringes - I moved into sewing the top/shirt from scratch myself and then cutting it up. By lots of trials I found this beautiful Ecotex/Vortes viscose jersey, which holds up great in wear and washing and also is very soft.

So the process is:
- sew up a basic Tshirt with long sleeves
- cut/schred back & sleeves
- braid back
- and vupti: a Kraka top

The braided design on the back has also evolved over the years and in 2023 I am presenting a shred/braid with thinner fringes, giving a spiderweb-look.

And very importantly to accommodate fitting on different sizes, the braiding is different from size Small to size XXXL

SIZING - and deciding:
I know the best way to decide on a size is to actually try the top - so much is in the feel and also in personal preferences (some like it tight and others like a bit more slack)

I am planning to have more photos with different sizes models to give you a feel of the fit and sizes - but don't hesitate to contact me for guidance or help.

KRAKA top / Model size XL

A versatile top / cover-up / transformer top made of soft ecotex/vortex viscose jersey (95% viscose, 5% lycra)

The Kraka top have been designed to both work as a cover-up for dance training or yoga, a dramatic long "choli-style" top under a costume bra or a comfortable daily-wear blouse - and also can also be transformed into a hip-wrap/mini skirt

Washing: 30 degrees/celsius, gentle wash - recommended to put top in a washing net. Hang to dry/no tumble dry

KRAKA design & sizes

The Kraka top have been designed with a wide neckline so the top can be worn with "cold shoulders". The top is very stretchy and you may fit more sizes depending on your personal choise of loose or tight fitting.

All edges are "raw" / not-hemmed which is part of the design, it gives a lot of stretch (and the material is not fraying.

These are the Kraka SIZES, I will suggest for your chest + hip width:

XS / Xsmall: 70-80 cm
S / Small: 80-90 cm
M / Medium: 90-100 cm
L / Large: 100-110 cm
XL / Xlarge: 110-120 cm
XXL : 120+ cm
XXXL: 120+ /extra long

Please notice:
SHOULDER-width is also something to consider, and if you have f.ex slim shoulder width, you might need to adjust the tightness of the neckline/shoulders. All Kraka tops have 2 extra tie-bands on the back that may be used for adjustments.
If you buy your Kraka from me in person, I will of course do adjustments for you :)

MODEL in picture is wearing a size XL, her measurements are:
- chest 113 cm
- hips 109 cm
- shoulder width top
- shoulder/arm width

The size XL fits snuggly on her, and she likes her top to show her curves.

The colour is the new 2023-dark burgundy

Roll down your Kraka top to the hips and you have a mini-skirt with build-in fringes

This is the new burgundy colour for 2023!

The Kraka top can be used for many different trainings or casual wear.

The fringes can be tied up in the front either for embellishment ... or to stay out of the way when doing the downward-facing-dog :)
